Without Rain

Last month we asked a question concerning the origin of man’s value? Where does a man’s value come from?  This has everything to do with men knowing their identity, their purpose, and their authority.
Gen. 2:4, 5 reveals something important to every man. “This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens—(5) and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground.”
It is inferred that God withheld rain so that no shrub or plant would sprang up on the earth because there was no man to work the ground.  Herein is man’s worth! He is responsible to take care of all that the Father has created and maintain His presence in the earth.
Every man needs to realize that his value was established by God before there was a woman manifested in the earth. How does this revelation affect men today? Share your thoughts and thank you for your involvement as we explore the world of men.

When I have worked with the male, student population, the hardest idea to to get across, is that there is life being created underneath the soil. The point being, even if the surface has been destroyed, there are still roots that contain vital nutrients for the "growth process". I have encouraged my students to do an activity such as growing a plant, while they work through thier own processes. This sometimes helps them to understand, that when you are trying to achieve a goal, you may not see an outcome intially, but there is something happening underneath the surface. And, that "something", is getting ready to break through. If that narrative is hard for them to conceptualize, it is at that point that we find sample narratives. Stories of people who have made similar tracks/pathways, and have seen their own gains. That is where the "light/blue-print" affect happens. They are then able to take hold, and own steps to travel the road set for their personal journey. They begin to accept that, they are building/maintaining thier own house.
